Orpheum Theater Usher

There are plenty of thoughts on why a spirit remains, unfinished business, untimely death or one that had strong emotion associated with it, love, anger, fear. Some believe a spirit isn't aware that they've passed and go on with whatever task they were up to when they died. Another theory is that a spirit is simply our next phase, as a butterfly is to a caterpillar, who we were in life is very much a part of who we are in death. Places and people we have good feelings associated with, we return to.

Another of the spirits seen at the Orpheum spends most of his time in the theater, standing at the main exits during a show, seated by the sound board when things are quiet, or in the shadows just off stage. Anyone who has reported seeing him describe the encounter as brief, he's there, you spot him and he fades from sight just as abruptly as he showed up. It would seem he's never disturbed anyone, or caused anything more than the startle accompanied by seeing him. It's believed he may be the spirit of an usher who fell to his death from a balcony, perhaps he's still trying to help folks find their seats, or is back to see a good show.
