Mary Worth aka Whitewater’s Bloody Mary

One of the witches who put Whitewater on the paranormal map is Mary Worth. Mary was a self-proclaimed witch at a time when most would not have admitted such. Primarily she was an herbalist, concocting potions and medicines that aided with anything from upset stomach to toothache. But the rumor was she also dabbled in the darker arts, potions and tonics that were more than just a remedy. She also performed hexes and administered curses. But in the end is wasn't her craft that betrayed her, it was murder with an axe that sent her to the gallows. Her last words were neither a prayer or request for forgiveness from her victim's loved ones, but a curse for the city of Whitewater and its residents.

Her body was buried in Hillside Cemetery however it isn't thought that it rested there for long. Soon after people reported seeing her strolling about the gravestones, axe in hand, looking to make good on her curse. It is also rumored that our very own Mary is the one of urban legend. The very same Bloody Mary that reaches out from a mirror at midnight after some poor soul either speaks her name 100 times or recites "I killed your baby" while holding a candle while looking into it.
